The Coalition Council

The Council of the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections consists of 8 national NGOs. They are as follows:

Association for Participative Democracy (ADEPT) is an independent centre of analysis and consultation on the decision-making, political, electoral and socio-economic processes in the Republic of Moldova and in the wider region. ADEPT’s mission is to promote the democratic values and support citizen active participation in public affairs. ADEPT’s strategic objectives are: to contribute to the efficient implementation of the governmental strategies aimed at the socio-economic development and democratization of Moldova, to promote and consolidate the democratic institutions and procedures, to encourage and facilitate citizen participation in the decision-making and governance processes.

CONTACT Centre is an independent, non-profit, unpolitical organization, with the mission to support democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova by promoting and implementing both the idea of the open society and encouraging civic initiatives. The CONTACT Centre offers information services, trainings, consultations to non-governamental organizations, promoting programmes oriented to consolidate the organizational capacities of the NGOs. The CONTACT Centre has as its object to consolidate civic society by means of viable powerful network creation of non-governamental organizations and speaks in support of real, open and effective dialog between governmental and non-governmental sectors.

The Promo-LEX Association is a Non-Governmental Organisation focused on promoting democratic values and on implementing internationally recognised standards in the Republic of Moldova, including the Transnistrian region. The mission of the Promo-LEX Association is to advance democracy in the Republic of Moldova through promoting and defending Human Rights and strengthening Civil Society.

National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM) is the representative forum of the youth associative structures from the Republic of Moldova in its relations with government structures, forums, national and international youth organizations. The National Youth Council of Moldova is an organization that meets the interests of young people from Moldova and serves as a unique national platform of the youth associative sector. CNTM mission is to promote the interests of young people from Moldova and to help develop youth associative structures through training programs, information, consultations and lobbying.

Independent Journalism Center (IJC) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides assistance to journalists and media institutions in the Republic of Moldova. IJC sees its mission in supporting professional journalism and aims at contributing to the consolidation of a qualitative, independent and impartial press. IJC works out and implements training programs for journalists and trainers from different media, with the participation of foreign and local experts, offers consulting services in the field of media legislation, monitors abuses of the freedom of expression and the rights of journalists.

Independent Press Association (IPA) is a civic association established to support the politically unaffiliated media. IPA has the mission to enhance the impact of independent media in Moldova and to strengthen the open society. The main activity directions of IPA includes development of the independent media, legal, moral and material support of the independent media institutions and journalists, defends their civil rights, ensure a continuous process of training and growth the professionalism of journalists, improve the Press distribution etc.

The Electronic Press Association from Moldova (APEL) is a non -governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization, aiming to contribute to the development of the Moldovan broadcasting on the basis of democratic practices. Founded in 1999, APEL now has 35 associated members (radio stations, TV channels, the Journalism and Communication Sciences Faculty of Moldova’s State University, etc. ) as well as individuals.

The National Women’s Studies and Information Center “Partnership for Development” (CPD) is a non-profit institution that promotes an intergrative approach to gender issues, women’s rights and equal opportunities for men and women. CPD integrates gender mainstreaming into all domains of sicial life, promotes public policy and issues regarding the role of women in society and their empowerment and strives to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women. CPD is also a documentation, information and training center for women’s NGOs and initiative groups.
