Electoral Process Monitoring<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Coalition conducts analysis and assessment activities on election-related legal aspects, monitors electoral campaigns and Election Days, monitors and evaluates electoral process abidance by national legislation and international standards, conducts short-term and long-term election monitoring missions \u2013 all aimed at securing free and fair elections. <\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Securing Inclusive Elections<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Coalition conducts activities oriented towards securing the right to elect and be elected for all categories of voters, in all types of elections. To that end, Coalition member organizations urge women, youth, diaspora citizens, people with special needs, and other underrepresented categories to participate actively in electoral processes. Furthermore, the Coalition seeks implementation of international standards in civil and political rights, and of good practices in the field of social inclusion.<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Monitoring Mass Media Behavior<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Coalition monitors the ways in which electoral campaigns are reflected by mainstream media institutions, in order to guarantee fair, unbiased, and balanced campaign coverage, in accordance with legal norms and professional ethics. Furthermore, the members of the Coalition contribute to professional training for journalists, teaching proper methods of informing voters about electoral programs and platforms.<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Civic and Electoral Education<\/a><\/h3>\n

The program\u2019s main objective is to contribute to the formation and strengthening citizens\u2019 civic spirit, by motivating them to actively participate in public matters, and to inform them properly on electoral issues. The program seeks to promote citizens\u2019 involvement in political processes. To that end, voters are targeted through mobilization campaigns and unbiased information on elections, candidates, results, etc.<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”despre”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Who We Are<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections is a permanent, voluntary entity, comprised of civil society organizations from Moldova, whose aim is to contribute to the development of democracy in Moldova, through advocacy and implementation of free and fair elections according to the standards of ODIHR (OSCE), the European Council and its specialized affiliated institutions.<\/p>\n

Coalition Regulation<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Regulation stipulates the principles and rules that enable the Coalition to function as a permanent, voluntary entity comprised of civil society organizations from Moldova. Furthermore, it covers members\u2019 rights and obligations, the procedure to join the Coalition, and the responsibilities of the Coalition Board and Secretariat.<\/p>\n

Coalition Members<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Coalition is comprised of 35 non-governmental organizations from Moldova, who have undersigned the Charter for Free and Fair Elections. The members are organizations with experience in the electoral field and elections related areas, united by the aspiration to improve our country\u2019s democracy through ensuring free and fair elections.<\/p>\n

The Coalition Charter<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Charter for Free and Fair elections contains a series of standards advocated by the Coalition, striving to ensure a democratic election process, in accordance with the recommendations and good practices of OSCE\/ODIHR, the European Council and the EU. Said standards cover legal and institutional frameworks, methods of organizing electoral competition, political party and mass media behavior, and principles for guaranteeing the right to vote for all voters\u2019 categories.<\/p>\n
